Janjua

Salt Range Rajput line — descended from the Hindu Shahi cadet branch

The Janjua Rajputs of the Salt Range (modern Pakistan) trace their descent to a cadet branch of the Hindu Shahi dynasty — most likely the line of Trilocanapala’s son Bhimapala or a collateral kinsman. The Janjua genealogical tradition preserves the Hindu Shahi Sahi title, transformed in later Persian usage into Shah.
